A Very Rare Vintage Modernist Swedish Glenn Roll Sterling silver & Copper Necklace. It has an amazing design featuring a copper insert and even comes with its original well designed and very strong box chain with original case and certificate which is rare indeed! It was designed by the fantastic designer "Glenn Roll" for the STORA employees to commemorate the STORA 700 year Jubilee in 1988. It was crafted in solid silver and copper from the Falun mine by the silversmith "Guldvaru AB Dahlgren & Co". It comes on its original sterling silver box chain which is approx 19.0 inch in length, this is a top quality chain with a strong lobster clasp, it has a full set of Swedish hallmarks for sterling silver on the link next to the clasp. The large pendant measures approx 4.2 cm(including the bale) by 2.4 cm and it is hallmarked on the rear with "STORA 700 1988" a full set of Swedish hallmarks which are the makers mark "GD&Co" for "Guldvaru AB Dahlgren & Co" the Swedish Nation Mark, the "S" silver standard mark, 925 for sterling silver and the date letter "N10" for 1987. The pendant, chain, case and certificate are all in excellent condition, the copper has developed a wonderful patina which was what is was designed to do.
