Pair of Vintage Egyptian Hallmarked Solid Silver Pepper& Salt Pots from 1947. Each is approx 5.5 cm in height with a combined weight of 52.7 grams. They are both hallmarked with the Egyptian hallmarks - for 900 purity silver, the lotus flower for silver from 1946 onward and the date latter for July 1947(The date letter is for 1947 from Egyptian Year-Date Hallmarks-Phase II Arabic Date letter Conversions- 1940 to date, including Formal and Visual Arabic letter Comparison. They are in excellent condition for their age with just a few very minor dints/bruises from being used, the lids screw on and off nicely.
